My Walk with Christ

My life is chaotic. Some chaos is self-imposed, but the rest is thrust upon my life through circumstance and my life-long battle with the negative effects of ADD. But, God has been good to me, showing me glimpses of clarity as I walk through this life He has given me. I cling to these moments, as they are gifts sent from God, helping me through my life each day. I want to share these moments to glorify God and to share the words He has revealed to me, so that others may be blessed too. It is my every hope that these words will bless someone. For my first posting, I am including a poem that God created through me:

Crosses to Bear

These crosses that I bear
Bring me closer to You
For only in my brokenness
Can your loving light shine through

I make mistakes
I stumble and fall
But You are there to pick me up
You help me to see my burden is light
From the One who gave it all

I wonder why You forgive me
Time, and time again
Amazing grace and Your great love
Your purpose and Your plan

Will I ever be who You call me to be?
Sure, one day in Heaven
But until that day I am devoted
To simply being Your servant

To hear Your call and say, “Yes Lord”
I cannot imagine better
So, now I find peace in knowing Your Truth
A blessing beyond measure

Will I fail? Yes, time and again
But, Your love You will never sever
Peacefulness is all I feel
Because of Your love so strong

I rest in Your arms
I carry on
And pass Your love along

God’s love for me is my biggest inspiration to write. He has blessed me with creative talent and I want to glorify Him with my works of art. This poem was written from the ashes of despair, to become the phoenix of Christ’s hope in me. It is this hope that inspires me to go on and share this Good News with others, so they may experience the forgiveness and fullness of life in Christ.
For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5
